Spring 2015!! Click here for upcoming events

With the beautiful weather and end of the semester upon us, we have lots of exciting things going on. Read on for details:

Wednesday, 4/15: outside ride with Casey that will focus on sprinting. Meet at the Arb Bridge at 4:45. Bring a bike in excellent shape, a helmet, water, and anything else you might need for a 1-1.5 hour ride. Take Mills south from campus and you’ll run into the Arboretum Bridge near the hospital. Email if you have questions about the location or the ride.

As a reminder, don’t hesitate to post your rides to the listserv! Send a quick email to uw-cycle@lists.wisc.edu with the date, time, pace, and route info. There are people in the club looking for all sorts of group rides, whether they are challenging, relaxed, or somewhere in between. This is an awesome way to get to know new people too!

This Friday we want to have a social ride in the afternoon. We are still finalizing details, so look for a followup email in a few days with route and time details.

As road season comes to an end in the next few weeks, watch for emails from Max about upcoming race weekends. Get in touch with him if you want to join the fun before the season is over!

Next Tuesday, 4/21, will be our next club meeting (7pm, Science Hall 180). We will discuss many things, including elections for officer positions for next school year. We will talk about the different opportunities you’ll have to get involved and answer any questions you have. Whether you’re looking for an easy job with a small time commitment or want to get more involved, there will be an opportunity for you! We will hold elections at our last club meeting. You’ll definitely want to attend this meeting as we will be sharing stories about spring break and road races too!

SAVE THE DATE! Thursday, April 30. We want to have a team picnic/party thing. We will start with a grill out in a local park or at Max’s house and have lots of fun throughout the evening. We are still finalizing details, but know this: the club will cover basic food for everyone, we hope to be outside at least while it’s light out, and there should be lots of fun. You’ll hear more details later, but you definitely won’t want to miss this!

As always, let us know if you have questions. Happy riding!
